PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further increase the degree of freedom in designing of an operating mechanism for a chair while favorably avoiding the interference between members without causing a high rise of the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This structure for attaching a lever for operating a functional means, which realizes various functions of a chair, to the chair is constituted in such a manner that a lever body 8 is attached to the chair body 1 so as to be turnably supported. In this case, the lever body 8 is integrally equipped with a turning shaft part 81 which served as the central shaft for turning, a force receiving part 82 which extends in a direction non-parallel with the turning shaft part and receives an external force, and a working part 83 which extends in a direction non-parallel with the turning shaft part and is engaged with the functional means M1 of the chair.
