PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant activator capable of improving physiological activities of plants without having an undesirable influence upon human bodies and the environment and obtaining preventing effect on disease injuries and exterminating effect on insect pests. SOLUTION: This plant activator is obtained by dissolving chitosan into an edible acid and a Monascus purpreus extract. The plant activator may be dried, powdered, granulated or pelletized.
