PURPOSE: An electric power steering apparatus for a vehicle is provided to complement the bending strength of a rack gear side in a rack bar by installing a support bush to a position adjacent to the rack gear. CONSTITUTION: An electric power steering apparatus for a vehicle has a motor housing(30) in which a rotor(32), a stator(31), a motor shaft(33) are installed; a pinion housing(50) and an end housing each connected to the ends of the motor housing; a rack bar(20) installed to the inside of the pinion housing, the motor housing, and the end housing each communicating; a ball nut(40) installed outside a ball screw(22) installed to the outer peripheral surface of one end of the rack bar, to support the rack bar and move the rack bar in the axial direction; and a rack guide installed inside the pinion housing, to support the rack bar and guide the axial movement of the rack bar by covering the rear side of the rack gear. A hollow support bush(90) is installed to the inside of the front end side of the pinion housing adjacent to the rack guide, to support the rack bar and thus the rack bar is supported from three points.
