<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the packing method of developer to a developing cartridge filled with the developer by density equal to or higher than loose apparent density by packing the developer by imparting vibration to the developing cartridge, the developing cartridge and an image forming apparatus equipped with it. <P>SOLUTION: The developing cartridge 24 where a gear group 71 is provided on a left side surface same as a toner inlet 70 is placed at the holder 64 of a toner packing device 60 by having the left side surface face upward so as to prevent soiling by toner. Then, the axial direction of a developing roller 31 is set in an up-and-down direction. The inside of the developing cartridge 24 is partitioned into a toner hopper and a developing chamber, and a space between them communicates with a toner supply port having a width narrower than that of the developing roller 31. Even though the toner is packed by being vibrated in a longitudinal direction by a vibrating table 63, the developing roller 31 is housed in the developing chamber, and the quantity of the developer supplied to the developing chamber is regulated by the toner supply port, so that pressure is hardly applied the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
