<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a permanent magnet and the permanent magnet wherein the number of pin holes is reduced inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a permanent magnet is characterized in that there are contained R (R is at least one kind or more among rare earth elements containing Y.), T (T is Fe, or Fe and Co.), and B, and that there is provided a first metal layer on the surface of a permanent magnet substantially involving a principal phase of a tetragonal system together with the formation of a high melting point layer on the first metal layer, and further that there is provided a process for melting a low melting point metal by a heat treatment. Furthermore, the permanent magnet is characterized in that there are contained R (R is at least one kind or more among rare earth elements containing Y.), T (It is Fe or Fe and Co.), and B, and that there is provided a first metal layer on the surface of a permanent magnet substantially involving a principal phase of a tetragonal system together with the formation of a high melting point layer on the first metal layer, and further that the first metal layer is melted at least once by the heat treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
