<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid optical disk, in which the write once is allowed for only an original hybrid optical disk but not allowed for the hybrid optical disks other than the original, and to provide its drive for reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: In the hybrid optical disk (original optical disk 10) furnished with a ROM area (ROM part 11) exclusively used for reproduction and a RAM area (RAM part 12) where the write once is allowed, the information (1st DiscID) for identifying the original optical disk respectively is stamped to both of a 1st area (data part 11c) and a 2nd area (PMA part 11a) of the above ROM area. By this procedure, the DiscIDs stamped or recorded on the 1st area and 2nd area are compared, and the disk is judged as the original optical disk when they are the same DiscID, and can be judged as the already copied optical disk when they are not the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
