<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly fuel without releasing carbon dioxide gas into air. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic fuel is a porous material consisting of 50-85 wt.% of rocks of quartz diorite, 10-30 wt.% of carbon, and 5-15 wt.% of clays and characterized by generating heat by high frequency wave. The manufacturing method is characterized by adding a foaming agent and the optimum amount of water to a mixed powder containing 50-85 wt.% of rocks of quartz diorite, 10-30 wt.% of carbon, and 5-15 wt.% of clays as binding agents and kneading, press forming and burning at 1,100-1,300°C for burning or volatilizing the foaming agent, and forming mutually communicative pores as porous materials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
