<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic combustion device capable of maintaining the temperature of a vaporizing chamber at a high temperature in a degree not to generate the back combustion, and to provide a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In this catalytic combustion device 1 for vaporizing the liquid fuel 70 in the vaporizing chamber 12 to supply it to a catalyst plate 20, when a back combustion for generating a flame is generated in the vaporizing chamber 12 during the catalyst combustion, the number of revolution of a blower 15 is increased to increase the quantity of the atmospheric air to be supplied to the vaporizing chamber 12 and to lower the temperature of the vaporizing chamber 12 to prevent the generation of back combustion. In this catalytic combustion device 1, since an air rate to be supplied to the vaporizing chamber 12 is controlled by detecting a really generated back combustion, the temperature of the vaporizing chamber 12 can be more surely maintained at a high temperature in a degree not to generate the back combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
