<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image display characteristics from being deteriorated without increasing a burden on manufacture in an image display device equipped with surface wiring structures. <P>SOLUTION: A surface wiring structure 11 to be connected to a scanning line 9 and a surface wiring structure 10 to be connected to a scanning line 12 via a thin film transistor 5 are spaced a distance L1 of 5μm or longer. With the structure, electrical continuity between the surface wiring structures 10, 11 due to impurity ions or the like which attach to the surface wiring structures 10, 11 while the power supply is in the on-state and diffuse therefrom while the power supply is in the off-state is prevented and current leakage is prevented.
