PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device capable of easily and accurately aligning an optical axis of a core and an optical fiber or the like connected to the core. SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 12 is constituted of: an underclad 14 where a core groove 17 for forming the core 15, a resin receiving groove 18, and a waveguide fitting part 19 are integrally formed inside; a substrate 13; and an overclad 16. When the waveguide fitting part 19 is fitted to the supporting substrate fitting part 23 of a supporting substrate 22, the end face of the core 17 is necessarily brought to a prescribed position since the waveguide fitting part 19 and the core groove 17 are integrally formed. Thus, when the supporting substrate fitting part 23 and an optical fiber guide, etc., are designed in accordance with the positions of the waveguide fitting part 19 and the core groove 17, the optical axis alignment of the core 15 and the optical fiber or the like connected to the core 15 is easily and accurately performed.
