PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waste ink tank in which carried ink is held surely and ink in the waste ink tank does not scatter nor flow out even if it is vibrated or inclined. SOLUTION: The waste ink tank into which ink containing a dye ingredient and a moisture keeping material is discharged comprises a waste ink channel, and a part for holding the moisture keeping material contained in the ink provided along the waste ink channel on the side face thereof.
