PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability on a pole at the time of performing the inspection or replacement work of a lightning arrester set in a switch on a pole by achieving the downsizing of the switch on a pole where the lightning arrester is set. SOLUTION: The switch A on a pole has a switch main body A1 and an option unit A2. The main body case 11 of the switch main body A1 is equipped with a bushing 2 on power side, a fixed contact 21, a bushing 3 on load side, a mobile contact 32, a link device 4 for moving the mobile contact 32, etc. The side of one end of a cable 33 is connected to each load terminal 31 on load side. The other end side of each cable 33 is connected to each lightning arrester 9 piercing a cover 6. The option unit A2 has a mounting frame body 7 attached to the side of the bottom opening 10 of the main body case 11, the above lightning arrester 9 fixed to the mounting frame 7, a transformer 8, and a cover case 12 attached airtightly to the side of the bottom opening 10.
