PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal or a system capable of receiving digital broadcast of the same program even in the case of transition of a broadcast area or on the occurrence of difficulty in receiving the broadcast. SOLUTION: When a broadcast reception management section 102 discriminates that reception of the broadcast is interrupted, a control section 104 executes a reception switching processing to select a broadcast reception mode from a broadcast station 20 into a broadcast reception mode through a communication channel. A communication transmission / reception section 105 connects to a contents server 30 through the communication channel in response to the notice from the control section 104 to receive broadcast information of the same program as that at receiving the broadcast.
