PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the forming accuracy of hydroforming and to reduce the cost of an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: Guide sections 21a to 22b projectingly provided on the upper and lower die holders 21, 22 each holding a set of metallic dies 30 for housing a tube stock W are externally fitted and clamped with annular clamping blocks 25, 26. In this state, using cylinders 241 to 246 installed in the clamping blocks 25, 26, the lower die holder 22 is pressed to the upper die holder 21. After that, with a pressure liquid supplied into the tube stock W, forming is performed. The cylinders 241 to 246 are driven by supplying a pressure oil from a hydraulic circuit different from that for supplying the pressure liquid, thereby ensuring highly accurate forming. The cost of the apparatus is reduced by making hydraulic cylinders 241 to 246, accessories and the like applicable to the apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
