PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely control copper wire density of a horizontal deflection coil or a vertical deflection coil to generate a magnetic field for optimizing various characteristics on a screen in a cathode-ray tube, and to stabilize a position of a copper wire in manufacture of coil molding. SOLUTION: In this deflection yoke for a cathode-ray tube provided with: the saddle type horizontal deflection coil 1 supplied with a horizontal deflection current; the saddle type or toroidal type vertical deflection coil supplied with a vertical deflection current; and a magnetic core, a coil thickness hgt of a divided face on a horizontal shaft of a cathode-ray tube electron gun side straight part in the horizontal deflection coil 1, and a coil wall-thickness width of a divided face on a vertical shaft of the cathode-ray tube electron gun side straight part in the vertical deflection coil are thinned as they approach from a cathode-ray tube screen side to a cathode-ray tube electron gun side end.
