PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel chair lifter whose structure is simplified to reduce the storage space. SOLUTION: This wheel chair lifter 1 for rolling stock which enables getting on/off of a wheel chair 9 is provided with a lifting post 31 supporting this boarding plate rotatably around a horizontal shaft, a link mechanism 21 supporting this lifting post 31 capable of elevation to/from the vehicle, a driving mechanism 41 for operating this link mechanism 21 and a link arm 51 for rotating the boarding plate 11 around the horizontal shaft in linkage with operation of the link mechanism 21.
