PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed window in which a tapped hole need not be bored to a window frame when a glass hold-down peripheral frame is screwed to the window frame and the glass hold-down peripheral frame can be screwed to the window frame simply. SOLUTION: In the fixed window in which a window glass 3 is inserted to the window frame 1 and the window glass 3 is fixed by the glass hold-down peripheral frames 5 and 6 on the indoor side and the outdoor side screwed 4 onto the inner peripheral surface of the window frame 1, the window frame 1 is formed of frame members 10, 11, 12 and 12 having thick wall thicknesses respectively while main grooves 13 for a screw screwing and chip escaping grooves 14 are formed extensively over an overall length in the longitudinal direction of the frame members at the internal-surface required places of each frame member 10, 11 and 12, and screws 4 penetrated to the glass hold-down perpheral frames 5 and 6 are screwed into the main grooves 13 of each frame member 10, 11 and 12.
