PURPOSE: A method for updating a telephone directory of an Internet phone is provided to enable an Internet phone subscriber to change information on a subscriber phone address book, or to transmit changed information to a subscriber server, then to update a corresponding DB, thereby easily correcting/changing the information by the Internet phone. CONSTITUTION: In an initial state(S1), a system decides whether a retrieval function is set on an Internet phone through an Internet subscriber server(S2). If so, the system processes a retrieval key designated by a user on the Internet phone, and transmits a processed signal to the Internet subscriber server(S3). The Internet phone receives a retrieval result list over the Internet by the Internet subscriber server(S4). The system decides whether a changing function is set to change stored information of the Internet phone by using the retrieval result list received from the current subscriber server(S5). If so, the system changes the stored information of the Internet phone by using the received retrieval result list(S6). |
