<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an optical fiber with less optical loss and to easily pull out the optical fiber without twisting it at least from one end. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber housing tool is provided with a pair of winding parts 12a and 12b capable of winding the optical fiber 100, a substrate 11 capable of holding the pair of the winding parts 12a and 12b so as to make the axes be almost parallel, and an optical fiber fixing means 14 capable of freely clamping / releasing at least the cross part of the optical fiber 100 wound so as not to be twisted in the shape of the figure 8 around the pair of the winding parts 12a and 12b so as to cross between the pair of the winding parts 12a and 12b.
