SAMPLE HOLDER AND X-RAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an operator to manually mount a linear sample in the posture as desired on a sample holder with ease.

SOLUTION: The sample holder 9 supports the linear samples 18 and 38. The sample holder 9 includes a screen part 14 which receives side surfaces of the linear samples 18 and 38 and a groove 17 having a V-shaped cross section which is provided on the screen part 14 and which is brought into contact with the side surface of the linear sample 18. The linear samples 18 and 38 are stuck on the screen part 14 or a base 13 with an adhesive or the like. Because the groove 17 has the V-shaped cross section, a sample support bar 11 for the linear sample 18 or a capillary tube 15 for the linear sample 38 can be always positioned in a defined position.
