PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of vehicle behavior by effectively utilizing information relating to yaw rate in a driving operation device used for a steer by wire system. SOLUTION: In the steer by wire system detecting operation of an operation part 1 by operation amount and torque and controlling turning angles in corresponding to operation amount, vehicle behavior is determined based on model yaw rate of a target value of yaw rate calculated from a turning angle sensor 10 and actual yaw rate detected by a yaw rate sensor 23. When it is determined that the vehicle is oversteer, a steering motor 5 is driven to return steering angle, when it is determined that the vehicle is understeer, operation reaction force acting on the operation part 1 is increased.
