PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery residual capacity warning circuit which warns a battery residual capacity after the battery is sufficiently used, which has a small power consumption and which can warn at a suitable time even for various type batteries. SOLUTION: An analog-to-digital converter 12 measures a voltage value of the battery. When the voltage value of the battery 4 is lowered to a predetermined level due to consumption or the like of the battery 4, a differential current between the current value in a specific operation mode and the current value in other operation mode is supplied intermittently to a pseudo-load circuit 6 by an analog-to-digital converter 10 when the battery is in a certain specific operation mode, the voltage of the battery 4 is then measured, and a voltage drop of the battery 4 is detected.
