PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform normality check and restoration of an active system volume. SOLUTION: This system for the normality check and the restoration of the volume comprizes of a normality check engine which checks normality of a first volume as a snapshot mirror volume of a second volume and a restoration engine coupled with the normality check engine by communication, which executes restoration processing when an abnormality is found in the first volume.
