PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing generator constructed to flexibly change a generated timing. SOLUTION: A timing generator (111) includes a plurality of waveform generating sections (205), and each waveform generating section includes: a register (211) for receiving from the outside the data of a signal waveform to be generated and storing the data; and a waveform generating circuit (215) for generating and outputting a signal on the basis of the data stored in the register.
