PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for protecting a baggage compartment of a vehicle, particularly a passenger car. SOLUTION: There is provided the system for protecting the baggage compartment of the vehicle, which has a sensor for detecting a baggage in the baggage compartment, a means for detecting a condition of a protection device in the baggage compartment, and a means for generating a baggage compartment condition signal according to detection of the baggage and detection of the protection device condition.
