PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure with excellent transmission efficiency and durability while preventing enlargement. SOLUTION: A bearing pressure of a rolling contact part of inner faces of respective input side discs 2, 2 and respective output side discs 5, 5 and peripheral faces of respective power rollers 6, 6 are secured by a hydraulic pressing device 11a. A microcomputer built in a hydraulic control means 40 calculates a power passing through this toroidal type stepless transmission gear 12 based on measured signals of a torque sensor 37 and a rotation speed sensor 38 installed at a drive shaft 10 part. The hydraulic control means 40 calculates a required traction coefficient based on the power, and adjusts the hydraulic pressure introduced to the pressing device 11a for the purpose of realizing the traction coefficient.
