PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensator for compensating distortions of signals to be amplified by an amplifier according to the temperature, according to whether the signals have a continuous or burst waveform. SOLUTION: A memory means 31 stores relations 32, 33 of the temperature to distortion compensated modes for compensating the distortions of signals, having a continuous waveform and a burst waveform to be amplified by an amplifier 4. A continuous/burst wave detecting means 23 detects that the signals to be amplified by the amplifier 4 have a continuous or burst waveform. A temperature-detecting means 21 detects the temperature, and a compensating means, composed of a controller 24 and the like, compensates the distortion, using the distortion compensating mode corresponding to the detected temperature, based on the relations 32, 33 corresponding to the detection result by the wave-detecting means 23.
