PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability and shorten the working hour by facilitating to obtain precision of the outline dimension by installing a protruding part in which only four corner parts have been made larger than other parts and obtaining precision of the outline dimension only in these parts, in an IC socket. SOLUTION: The IC socket provided with the socket main body on which an IC package is mounted, and a cover member corresponding to the socket main body, is characterized in that, by forming a part protruding outward on the four corners of the cover member, the precision of the outline dimension of the cover member is made to be realized in these parts only.
