PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method and its device to securely detect a wire disconnection and a wire end in the case that a wire is rewound from a bobbin and delivered to a post-process such as an insulation device. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with the wire 3, a first electrode 11 electrically connected on the downstream side of the wire 3, and a second electrode 12 arranged below the upstream side passage of the wire 3. The disconnection of the wire 3 or the wire end is detected by applying voltage between the two electrodes 11, 12 with an electric power 13 by detecting electric current state between the wires 11, 12 with an ammeter 14 when the wire 3 is rewound from the bobbin 1 with a predetermined tension applied and delivered.
