PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device which prevents the occurrence of wrinkles and tramp and prevents the occurrence of malfunction such as unevenness and streaks of coating even when using a flexible support body which has thin thickness, lacks firmness and has a large deflection. SOLUTION: This coating device 1 is provided with a pair of guide rollers 3, 4 which respectively support one side surface of a conveyed film-like flexible support body 2 having thickness of 1.5-5.0μm and a coating head 5 which is arranged between the respective guide rollers 3, 4, applies a coating liquid on the other surface of the flexible support body 2 and has a discharge port 5b of the coating liquid. A contact part 5c which is allowed to contact with the flexible support body 2 over the whole width is disposed on at least the upstream side of the discharge port 5b in the conveyance direction of the flexible support body.
