PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus for suppressing ineffective exposure to a subject at ahigh level by finely controlling a tube current according to a part. SOLUTION: In the case of volume scan, an information obtaining part obtains a preset tube current value MA<SB>init</SB>, a control tube current value A<SB>atma</SB>and a part information Part<SB>n</SB>from an operator console, and a variable value setting part 5 obtains a variable width [a,b'] from a tube current upper limit value (a) and a tube current lower limit value (b') of the head taking the obtained information as a parameter [Part<SB>n</SB>, MA<SB>init</SB>]. A comparison part 6 compares the obtained variable width [a,b'] with the control tube current value A<SB>atma</SB>, and a determination part 7 gives the control tube current value A<SB>atma</SB>changed to the tube current lower limit value (b') from a tube current control width changing means to a tube current control part 3 of an X-ray tube under the condition of tube current lower limit value T2<control tube current value MA<SB>atma</SB>≤tube current upper limit value 1.
