PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal excreta-treating material which is obtained by a combination use of a perfume evaporation inhibitor, when the animal excreta-treating material having a coarse granular shape is impregnated with a perfume, can stably maintain the aromatic effect of the perfume for a long period, and can solve the problem that an expected stink-removing effect is not sufficiently obtained on the employment of an animal excreta-treating material, for example, because the perfume ingredient is lost in a production process or in a distribution process, especially because the perfume ingredient is eliminated by the thermal drying treatment of the material in a process for producing the material. SOLUTION: This animal excreta-treating material comprising coarse granules 1 prepared by granulating vegetable fibers or vegetable powder 2 to impart water absorbability is characterized by having a structure in which a liquid perfume 3 and a liquid perfume evaporation inhibitor 4 are sprayed on the surfaces of the coarse granules 1 to form the perfume-impregnated layers 5 on the surface layer portions of the coarse granules 1.
