An apparatus for skin treatment comprising a casing of a size which is easily hand-held, a laser system or other intensive light system inside the casing including a light source with an electronic circuit, the light source arranged such that produced radiation from the light source exits the casing through an exit system of the casing, wherein the exit system comprises a safety device that only allows firing of the light source when the exit system is touching the skin to be treated and the direction of the radiation is directed onto the skin. Furthermore, the exit system is configured to create a substantially closed volume in combination with the surface of the subject to be treated in order to prevent the intensive light from the light source to escape from this volume. |
