PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a video game apparatus for a single player and/or multiple players, by which input devices for various game applications are easily connected, allowing multiple players to participate in the same video game at different places. CONSTITUTION: The controlling apparatus(100) comprises: a mode selection module(140) for selecting a game mode of a single player game mode and a multiple player game mode; an input device signal switching module(130) for independently outputting input signals from various input devices(51-54) to video game devices(301-304) in the single player game mode and for preventing the input signals from being independently output to various game devices(301-304) in the multiple player game mode; a transmission module(140) for combining input signals from the input devices(51-54) and transmitting the same to the game devices(301-304); a video signal switching module(120) for outputting signals applied from the game devices(301-304) to display devices in each game mode; a control module(110) for controlling interaction among the respective modules; and a control ON/OFF switching module(160) for selectively switching the game devices(301-304) and an external video player(400) to terminate the control operation by being connected to the video player(400). |
