LOCATION-BASED SERVICE METHOD IN MOBILE SWITCHING CENTER

PURPOSE: A location-based service method in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) is provided to transmit a location-based service message through a No.7 network among the MSC, a mobile station, and a location determining device, thereby always measuring a location of the mobile station. CONSTITUTION: If a short message service is received while supplying a location-based service, an MSC enables the short message service to stand by through a VLR(S110). The MSC transmits an SMDPP(SMS Delivery Point to Point) recover result message to a short message center(S115). The location-based service is normally supplied(S120). If the location-based service is completed(S130), the MSC transmits a short message notification message to an SMC(Short Message Center)(S140). The MSC receives the short message service(S150).
