<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stabilized high quality imaging by ejecting ink from an inkjet head using an active beam-curing ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet imaging method where a head performs scanning, while carrying a medium, in the direction perpendicular to the carrying direction and ejected ink is hardened by being irradiated with active light beams from light sources disposed on the opposite sides of the head, scanning speed is set in the range of 0.5-2.0 m/s and the ratio (a/b) of the scanning distance (a) per second and the distance (b) between an ejection nozzle and the light source is set in the range of 0.001-0.25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
