PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing up to the end part of a print sheet without the impact of an ink drop on a platen. SOLUTION: The print sheet P is fed while being subscanned to upstream side sheet feed rollers 25a and 25b and when the front end Pf reaches above a downstream side groove part 26r, printing is started by ejecting an ink drop p from a print head 28. Since printing is started when the front end part Pf of the print sheet P is located in the rear of a nozzle #1, an image can be printed on the print sheet P up to the end without making a blank at the front end part Pf by ejecting an ink drop Ip from each nozzle regardless of where the nozzle is located above the print sheet or not. When printing is performed in the vicinity of the front end part Pf of the print sheet P, micro subscanning feed is repeated.
