PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-directional inkjet recorder, more commonly a liquid jetting device, capable of matching the color tone of an image being recorded during going stroke and the color tone of an image being recorded during returning stroke with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A color tone confirmation control section 210 controls a returning stroke driving signal generating means 36, a control body section 11 and a reciprocating motion mechanism according to a color tone confirmation command such that at least one going stroke jet liquid mixing section 220 of solid coating is formed on a medium being jetted with liquid, and a plurality of returning stroke jet liquid mixing sections 230 of solid coating are formed on the medium being jetted with liquid by varying the returning stroke driving signal of each pressure varying means 21 gradually.
