PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for preventing a trace of a wrinkle on a main paper sheet of a roll paper sheet by preventing generation of the wrinkle on an exterior paper sheet in surface-contact with the roller and the roll paper sheet with the exterior paper sheet wound around even when a slack is generated in front of the roller on a rotational entering side or between two parallel rollers for supporting the roll paper sheet with the exterior paper sheet wound around in a process for removing the exterior paper sheet of the roll paper sheet. SOLUTION: The roll paper sheet R with the exterior paper sheet W wound around is placed on the two parallel rollers 1, 1. After the exterior paper sheet on an outermost surface is cut, the roll paper sheet with the exterior paper sheet wound around is rotated by rotation of the two parallel rollers to remove the exterior paper sheet. The roller 1 is provided with a plurality of approximately circular friction members 2 mounted on an outer peripheral surface by spacing apart from each other, and thus an escape route of air is formed by the friction members 2 when the rollers 1 and the roll paper sheet with the exterior paper sheet W wound around are in surface-contact, and generation of the wrinkle is prevented.
