PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent tie-up of engaging elements at the fail time of applying signal pressure to a control valve. SOLUTION: This hydraulic controlling device of a transmission gear controlling engaging elements for transmission with hydraulic servos C1-C3 is equipped with control valves 1-3 controlling hydraulic pressure supplied to a hydraulic servo according to signal pressure applied respectively corresponding to each hydraulic servo. The control valve 2 to one hydraulic servo C2 of two engaging elements to be tied up is equipped with a cancel oil path 88 for applying hydraulic pressure supplied to the other hydraulic servo C1 opposite to signal pressure applied to it. When the hydraulic pressure is supplied to the hydraulic servo C1, the hydraulic pressure is not supplied to the hydraulic servo C2, so that tie-up of clutches operated by these two hydraulic servos is avoided.
