PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress combustion unstableness even when an air flow is weak, and to improve fuel economy. SOLUTION: In a fuel injection device for a cylinder injection spark ignition type internal combustion engine directly injecting gasoline into a combustion chamber, a tip end/upper end angle is from -10°to 10°in a pressurized atmosphere of 0.5MPa at absolute pressure. Fuel is injected in a compressing process of an internal combustion engine attached with the fuel injection device, thereby starting the internal combustion engine. Even when the air flow is weak, combustion unstableness can be suppressed, and the fuel economy can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
