A method for dyeing textile fabric made from mixed polyamide/polyester microfibers or microfilaments involves dyeing with vat dyes and/or sulfur dyes (a) at acid to neutral pH with the dye in its unvatted form and (b) at alkaline pH under reducing conditions for the dye, and then oxidizing the dye. A method for coloring synthetic textiles consisting of split and/or unsplit microfibers and/or microfilaments (I) made of synthetic polymers with polyamide component(s) and polyester component(s), possibly with a polyurethane component, involves dyeing and/or printing with vat dye(s) and/or sulfur dye(s) at elevated temperature, the dyeing process being carried out (a) partly at acid to neutral pH with the dye(s) in their unvatted form and (b) partly at alkaline pH under reducing conditions (for the dyes involved), with subsequent oxidation of the dye(s).
