PURPOSE: A system and method for servicing a home monitoring service using a floating IP is provided to monitor a video of a home or a company through a remote terminal of a remote place user by installing a program in a home wire terminal which is connected to a camera and transmits a video and supplying a floating IP address of the home wire terminal for the remote place user. CONSTITUTION: An IP address supplying unit(430) receives a changed floating IP address from a home terminal and a remote place terminal, and stores the floating IP. In the case that a remote place user requests the floating IP address of the home terminal, the IP address supplying unit(430) supplies the floating IP address to the remote place terminal. A database(460) is connected to the IP address supplying unit(430) and stores the floating IP address being supplied from the home terminal and the remote place terminal. A control unit(450) is connected to the IP address supplying unit(430) and the database(460), and stores the floating IP address transmitted from the home terminal and the remote place terminal. Otherwise, in the case that the remote place user requests the floating IP address, the control unit(450) transmits the floating IP address of the home terminal to the remote place terminal. A program supply unit(440) is mounted in the home terminal connected to the camera and supplies a program for transmitting a video of the home or the company being photographed by the camera and the floating IP addresses of the home terminal and the remote place terminal.
