Multilayered non-woven wound dressing and/or compress

The multi-layer wound dressing or compress has a spun-bonded nonwoven layer (B) towards the skin, covered by a layer (A) of a staple fiber nonwoven material. The two layers are bonded together by ultrasonic welding, with welding points at intervals of 2-5 mm and preferably 3-4 mm. The dressing/compress can be dosed with active ingredients e.g. bactericides and/or fungicides, or cosmetic agents contained in micro-capsules.
