In order to determine kinematic values like acceleration (a), speed (v) or distance covered (s), recording devices like wheel rotation sensors (10) record the rotational speeds of a vehicle's wheels. Wheel rotational speed signals are fed to a block (110) in a control device (100) for calculation. Engine torque recorded by a torque recorder (20) is fed to a block (120) as output signals. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining a truck's mass value to represent vehicle mass.
