The recording sheet for an ink jet printer comprises at least an ink receiving layer and a glossiness adjusting layer on a base material, the ink receiving layer includes an organic acid metallic salt and a cationic dye fixing agent, and the glossiness adjusting layer comprises a fine particle pigment and binder resin.
