Method for recognizing and tracking objects

The method has images of objects in the viewing range (14) of a laser scanner (12) identified and tracked using respective object models, defining sensor specific characteristics of the object, the image points (22,24,26) of the actual image forming segments (34,36,38) associated with each object.
