摘要 <p>Fast and accurate simulated emission tomographic data, e.g. for 3D reconstruc-tion methods, can be provided by registering data related to the object using a 2D detector with known detector response, and generating simulated data using a problem defined by means of the radiative transport equation and taking into account attenuation and scattering of emitted particles from the object, and the detector response, building a model operator, which is a sequence of composi-tions of operators including: an attenuation operator modelling the attenuation, a scattering operator for modelling the scattering and a detector response operator independent of the object, for modelling the detector response wherein each operator in the composition represents only one of the three as-pects, attenuation and scattering in the radiative transport equation and detection response. - a scattering operator for modelling the scattering - a detector response operator independent of the object, for modelling the de-tector response wherein each operator in the composition represents only one of the three aspects, attenua-tion and scattering in the radiative transport equation and detection response.</p>
