PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image input device and image display device that records and reproduces a natural three-dimensional image that does not cause fatigue to eyes of a viewer. SOLUTION: The image input device and image display device are provided with an image display means that displays a parallax image, a display optical system 8 that guides a luminous flux from the image display means to an exit pupil position, an exit pupil control means 6 that applies spatial time division to the emission pupil 3 so as to divide the emission pupil 3 into a plurality of regions thereby controlling a passing luminous flux leading to each area, and an image switching control means that applies switching control to the parallax image of the image display means corresponding to the passing luminous flux from each area of the exit pupil so as to allow a single eye of a viewer to recognize a plurality of parallax images. |
