PURPOSE:To safely and surely sterilize and deodorize medical treatment waste having infectiveness by generating air flow contg. gaseous alkaline chlorine dioxide specified in temp. and pH and bringing this air flow into contact with the medical treatment waste hermetically sealed in a bag, thereby subjecting the waste to a sterilization and deodorization treatment. CONSTITUTION:The circulating air flow heated by a heater 5 from a fan 4 is brought into contact with porous ceramic moldings 6 impregnated with an acid soln. diluted to pH 2 to 5 and porous ceramic moldings 8 impregnated with the gaseous alkaline chlorine dioxide set at pH 10 to 11, respectively. The air flow contg. the gaseous alkaline chlorine dioxide of 40 to 80 deg.C and pH 10 to 11 is generated in a generating section 1. The medical treatment waste 16 hermetic ally sealed in the bag is subjected to the sterilization and deodorization treatment by bringing this air flow into contact with the medical waste treatment. The circulating air flow brought into contact with the medical treatment waste 16 is thereafter passed through the chloride dioxide soln. in a housing section 3 having a concn. 4000 to 6000ppm and is circulated to the ceramic moldings 6, 8. |
